In 1954 the concept of opening a funeral home that would serve the growing and surrounding Northern Virginia area was developed. In June of 1955 this concept transformed into reality as groundbreaking ceremonies were held on a lot located at 3901 N. Fairfax Drive. In less than a year, construction was completed and on April of 1956, the doors of Arlington Funeral Home opened for the first time to the public. On April 26, 1956, the dedication service was held in the chapel officially opening “the most modern funeral home in the Northern Virginia area”. From the first funeral service in May of the same year until now, Arlington Funeral Home has maintained a high level of professional excellence and service with a capable staff that is attentive to meeting the needs of each family with personal care and dignity. Equipped with an on-site crematory, Arlington Funeral Home is able to provide a complete selection of memorialization options for families in times of need.
